Tour Details:

As with our Rincón 2.0 Tour (see our listings), this action-packed endurance river exploration also begins in the majestic Rincón Valley on Trinidad’s North Coast.

From our start point, it’s approximately a 10km/6mi approach to the well tucked away Habio Waterfall. Be warned... it does involve a couple invigorating ascents.

This segment offers a slight chance of Collared Peccary (Quenk) sightings. This mammal has poor eyesight and depend on their keen sense of smell to peruse its environment. They cannot distinguish moving objects from as far as 100m/300ft, so a quiet approach will increase your chances of spotting them.

After a few twists ‘n’ turns, we take a well deserve rest with the impressive Habio Waterfall as the backdrop. She is the 3rd highest waterfall in Trinidad and stands proud and elegant at 60m/180ft.

Now our action truly begins! With a river traverse offering 6 rappel pitches, slides and jumps, you will definitely not be short of adventure. Some of these pitches take you through astounding gorges, where you will truly be at one with nature.

After 8 HRS of absolutely being stoked, you get the ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity to embark on the 75m/245ft Rincón Waterfall rappel; the photo opp. of all photo opps.!

After a group lunch at the Rincón Waterfall basin, we make the slow, perhaps exhausted meander back to base… all in all, a day well spent!

N.B.: If you do not have previous experience using rappelling / rock climbing gear and not familiar with the techniques used for this activity, you will be required to participate in the CoolBlue Adventures Rock Climbing/Rappelling Experience (see our listings), prior to embarking on this epic expedition.
