3 Pools & a Waterfall
Starting at the quaint Blanchisseuse spring bridge, it's onward to the robust Avocat Waterfall, followed by a leisurely cruise to the '3 Pools'. This one is without a doubt, fun for the entire family!
Tour Details:
On the north cost of Trinidad, at the end of the remote village of Blanchisseuse, is where we embark on this fun, beautiful and easy River Exploration.
Our journey starts at the aesthetically pleasing old spring bridge. This suspension bridge dates back more than a century, and is one of only two in the country. It served as the causeway over the Marianne river, for anyone who needed to pass through the area. It was replaced by a bailey bridge which was built alongside it in 2012.
The first segment of this loop is the approach to the glorious Avocat waterfall. Although it is just 3km/1.9mi away, it does involve some fairly steep gradients… trek at a moderate pace and all will be fine!
After a refreshing pool dip at the falls, the subsequent journey down river is very relaxing and scenic. It involves traversing a very 'user friendly' gorge, which takes us into the splendor of the 'Three Pools'.
